So, frustration level running high, I scrapped the whole idea. All I wanted to do was plan for the inevitable while still having some money left over to bury me. By doing it now it will, hopefully, save stress and strain on my family when it occurs. But the whole process, as with anything legal related, is just above my head. The only thing that matches it in the confusion department would be dealing with insurance. I’m convinced they make it so difficult so the can get you to purchase policies and plans to drain your money away. I’m not sure why the government makes things like estate planning so difficult, it’s not like they are getting any money out of it (other than the taxes involved, of course).
Anyway, I digress. At this point I am back to square one. I started asking my friends who I know have already been through this what / how / who they used to get the their thing done. Several said they did the same thing that I tried, but they were not sure of the results either. Some of the names mentioned I recognized, some I did not.

If you are looking at Evansville plumbing contractors, I have some suggestions for you. I have always been told the best advertising is word of mouth. Well in this Internet age, I guess this would translate to the equivalent. And, I might add, this is not something I do for just anybody, which means: I am impressed!
I was looking to get my bathroom remodeled and started researching the Internet for companies I could call for estimates, ideas, etc. I came across an Evansville plumbing contractor who said they could do it. I never thought about a plumbing service for remodeling. I mean, sure, there is obviously plumbing involved when doing a bathroom remodel, but I always thought it was just a piece of the puzzle. I always thought more along the lines of Lowes, Home Depot, or one of the more expensive local home remodeling companies.
Intrigued, I added them to my list of possible contractors to contact. After I finished compiling my list I spoke with some friends, did some inquiring, checked out Angie’s List, and removed a little more than half the possibilities from said list. The remainder I called and requested someone come out and look over my bathroom, discuss some possibilities (I already had a good idea of what I wanted, but fresh eyes, and ideas, were welcome), and finally, come up with an estimate for the work.
The plumbing company was still on my list so I called them as well. They were one of six contractors who ended up coming out to speak with me. To be honest, prior to the meeting with them I was not seriously considering them to do the work for me, I was more just interested in hearing what they had to say. But after the meeting that all changed. I did not sign with them right off the bat, but they were definitely in the running.
At this point my list of possible contractors had dwindled to three. This was by design, because I had decided prior to meeting with any of them, that with this first round, I would cut my list by half, thus three remained. And I was under the impression that any of the three would do a fine job. But, as I am a stickler for details, I was looking for the one who would do a great job.
Two of them were local home remodeling contractors. You know the sort; they get half way through the job then disappear for three weeks. Now, I am not saying that these two would actually do that; it’s just the reputation that these businesses have. My local Evansville plumbing contractor was the third.
I had a good feeling about them for several reasons. One, they have a super reputation for being the one of the best plumbing companies in town, Two, the gentleman I spoke with seemed well versed in the concepts beyond just the plumbing aspect of the job and offered some good suggestions I had not considered (the others just offered do the work I requested), Three, he said that they would oversee and manage the entire project, and Four, I felt like they were the little engine that could, next to the big boys resting on their names.
Well, the work is complete, at the price they originally estimated, and most importantly, done on time. The quality meets with my picky nature (which rarely happens). All in all, I am very impressed with them and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors looking for bathroom remodeling.
I feel they are much better than the average bunch of Evansville plumbing contractors, and they have become my plumbers from this point forward. And thank you for a job more than well done!
